Full name: Petanque Federation Australia Ltd (PFA)
Founded in 1986, member of the F.I.P.J.P. since 1990.

The PFA is the only nationally recognized body for managing the sport, training referees, sanctioning competitions, and issuing national licenses.
Competitions and calendar
The Petanque Australia - Events website publishes the official list of national and international tournaments held in the country, with information on host clubs, eligibility criteria, and upcoming dates.
Tournament registrations and results are managed via the MyPetanque.com platform, where rankings and records by state (NSW, VIC, QLD, etc.) can be found.
Affiliated clubs and participation
Approximately 60 petanque clubs are affiliated with the PFA across Australia. Each club offers local memberships, often accompanied by a PFA federation license allowing participation in official competitions (e.g., Grampians Petanque, Prospect Petanque, Woodend Hanging Rock).
