The Trans Tasman rivalry between New Zealand and Australia will once again take center stage in the world of pétanque on 21–22 March 2026, when the tournament is held in Mt Martha, Victoria, Australia.

More than a simple international meeting, the Trans Tasman event traditionally embodies a strong sporting rivalry between the two nations. Each match carries symbolic weight, turning the competition into a series of intense and closely contested encounters where national pride is always at stake.
