Pierre Boudan Memorial & Mixed Triples Club Championship – Summary

The Newcastle Pétanque Club recently hosted two major events. The inaugural Pierre Boudan Memorial Mixed Triples brought together 22 teams, including family and friends of Pierre Boudan, from across NSW and interstate. Teams played four qualifying games before moving into finals, creating a day filled with competition, camaraderie, and community. Special thanks were given to the Boudan family for their support and contributions to prizes. The event celebrated Pierre’s memory and the spirit of the pétanque community.

The Mixed Triples Club Championship concluded the 2025 season with 39 players competing under hot conditions. In the A-Grade final, Delys Brady, Logan Romani, and Bronson Romani claimed the title, defeating Timothy Stevenson, Sharleen Boudan, and Chris Boudan. The B Division winners were Genevieve Boudan, Jean-Paul Boudan, and Doreen Boudan. The club acknowledged volunteers who ensured the smooth running of both events. Overall, both competitions highlighted teamwork, sportsmanship, and the enjoyment of pétanque, marking a strong end to the season.
